  1. I think one of the problems with the health press is that health tips are over generalized and little analysis is given on how to interpret statistics. Like, if I told you that absolutely everyone, 100%, of the people who eat carrots die, would you stop eating carrots? :-)

  2. I find this particular topic extremely interesting. I'm fascinated by the human body, and I'm always intrigued to learn more about the multitude of mysteries that surrounds it. I agree with the misleading statistics though, unfortunately people don't take time to thoroughly explain what they mean, or the true environment that the measurements were taken in (which usually has a huge impact). I mean sure, 4 out of 5 doctors recommend so and so, but did they only ask 5? Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to what we'll be seeing here!

  3. I find it quite amusing when I see a commercial about a drug that has been proven to ail one symptom but then causes about ten more health issues. Lets see science and technology overcome this issues at hand. great topic and i'm looking forward to following your blog

  4. When you go to your doctor, and discuss what concerns you, the insurance companies look at your medical records and sometimes deny you medical coverage or raise your insurance premium based on the concerns you had with your doctor. I think everyone should work on improving their health and be at their maximum potential.

  5. You may be slightly off the mark on the insurance idea. It has been my understanding that it is against the law for insurance companies to raise your rates for preventive care. Things light regular heath check ups will actually keep your insurance rate lower as long as you are generally healthy. Chronic conditions such as diabetes and MIs or heart problems, and strokes all raise your rates. A regular visit to the doctor can help to show they you have no underlying health risks and are there for good for business.

  6. I completely agree with your approach to better physical health. Our health is a direct result of what we put into our bodies and how our bodies react to these inputs. Knowing what compounds can directly hinder or enhance our bodies’ natural functions is the fundamental way in which we can achieve superior physical results. The challenge is determining what nutritional inputs will yield the maximum results, depending of course on our own personal aspirations. I think we may have similar interests in our new blogging efforts. By the way, how much is that allergy test without a referral?
